 Studio ButtONs - Dragons
Dragons are one of my favorite creatures and how nice to find that many button collectors love them too. Here are some studio buttons made by Diane Almeyda and myself. Some are from Spring Fest 2025 and others are just dragons we both love to make.

Diane Almedya - #DA278
The Spring Fest button is Diane's interpretation of the Chinese folk tale: The Jade Dragon and the Lotus Flower. It is done in the plique-a-jour enamel technique and made of Sterling Silver with transparent and translucent enamels. It measures approximately 1-3/8" x 1" and has a soldered on shank. Price is $195. |

Karen L. Cohen - #3411
Enamel copper with silkscreened mica decal of a 5-toed Chinese dragon guarding the flaming pearl, 3-hole sew through. A dragon guarding the flaming pearl is a common image found in Chinese art and the tale is one of the oldest and best-known legends in Chinese folklore. The pearl is a symbol of wisdom, spiritual energy and power and the dragon represents prosperity and good luck as well as being a rain deity. My "pearl" is a "faux opal" - copper wire, gold and silver foils and leaded transparent enamels. Around the pearl is Lumiere Luster decals which is a new material and this is the 1st I've used it. 2" x 1.25" Price: $85. |
