We have tried very hard to make sure all information in this book is correct and all photo credits are properly noted. However, errors do occur. When reported, they are posted here. Hopefully, these will be included in future updates to the book. If you find any errors, please report them to me. Thank you! Corrections to the text that have been found:
- Page 9 - in the side bar for "Considerations for Buying a Kiln": right column, last paragraph, 3rd line down, change "controller" to "digital controller". At end of this sentence, add "(digital controllers might be integral to the kiln or a separate equipment)".
- Page 16 - photo 51 - the caption should be "Extra-soft washout brush"
- Page 20 - In LTT for Pull-Through or Breakup, after sentence "Another means of achieveing pull-trhough..." add "Although overfiring does not always cause pull-through."
- Page 36 -under Aluminum Foil should also state: Aluminum gives off toxic fumes when heated either with a torch or in a kiln. Reallllly good ventilation is required.
- Page 40 - LTT for Enamel Leaf, last para change 1st sentence, change: "... the process might be toxic." to "... the process produces toxic fumes; ventilate well.
- Page 57 - caption ot photo 168 should be changed to "Silver paste, one available brand"
- Page 59 - left col, last paragraph, change "Any piece of metal clay that is rolled flat after sintering to make a sheet will be porous and hsould not be used for enamleing." to "Any piece of metal clay that is rolled flat after sintering to make a sheet, should not be used for enameling, and only for test tiles."
- Page 98 - in LTT Firing A Transparent Directily on Copper - 3rd paragraph, after end of 1st sentence "... past maturity", add "(overfired)".
- Page 99 - change in 1st full sentence "... heat." to "... coils, kiln furniture or piece".
- Page 109 - in the LTT Raku Firing - left column, change 2910 Oil Gray to 2910 Elan Gray
- Page 110 - right side, last paragraph, first two sentences to "The most commom patina for copper and silver is liver of sulfur. This comes in "rocks" that get mixed into water, liquid, or gel.
- Page 140 - the second variations to the Champlevé project, the pierced and soldered method, should state that after the enameling is completed, the finding can be soldered on the back, with a torch, using at least hard solder. Hard or high temperature is needed so that the enamel refuses properly and won't crack.
