December 2008 - 4th in series

December colors are all those colors that remind me of winter - whites, blues and silver. These are also the colors for Chanukkah. When we were in Alaska, we found out that glasciers are white and blue. Apparently, they are so dense that blue is the only color of the sprectrum that can come through them.

New on this piece:

• I used a sprial overlay on yarn I had couched down - this is for the "stems" of the bugle "flowers". This stitch was from a new hand embroidery book that I got for the holidays from my husband.
• The hanger is a peyote sprial
